About
Do you not know that you are God’s temple
and that God’s Sprit dwells in you?
—1 Corinthians 3:16
Welcome to the Holy Temple—a mission to uphold and defend Christian religious medical freedoms.
The Holy Temple is not a church. It is a faith-based mission group uniting believers from various Christian denominations who share a common belief: the sanctity of human life and the protection of our God-given physical bodies from modern medical desecration.
Many Christian denominations and churches do not provide their members with firm positions on religious medical freedom in their doctrines. And some churches have doctrines or positions that contradict the beliefs of their membership. The Holy Temple is a parachurch mission that allows likeminded Christians to come together to assert their specific beliefs on this topic.
The Holy Temple is dedicated to supporting its members’ beliefs regarding religious and medical freedom and providing resources and support to those who wish to stand up for their convictions in a group of like-minded fellow believers.
We would like to take even greater action, and are praying we raise enough funds to be able to provide legal counsel in support of our mission. We would like nothing more than the ability to hire a herd of faithful attorneys to fight on behalf of every persecuted member.
Our Mission
We believe that every Christian has an absolute and inalienable right to make decisions about their own health and well-being, and that of their children—as guided by their Christian faith and conscience. No Christian should ever be coerced into receiving any medical treatment or pharmaceutical against their religious conviction. Our mission is to:
- Advocate for the rights of individuals to refuse any medical treatment, pharmaceutical, or vaccine, based on their religious belief.
- Raise sufficient funds to launch our own legal advocacy and provide legal support to members facing medical freedom-related oppression and persecution.
- Educate and raise awareness about the religious and ethical concerns surrounding many modern drugs, vaccines, and gene-therapies.
What We Believe
The Holy Temple brings together Christians with diverse beliefs that may vary greatly, but who all share a deep religious conviction regarding medical freedom, based on one or more of the following tenets:
- Sanctity of Life: As devout Christians, we hold the sanctity of life in the highest regard. Our blood and our bodies are the symbol of life itself, and use of profane modern medical products blurs the divinely created boundaries of our individuality, contrary to God’s plan for humanity. Many modern inventions, such as gene therapies, manipulate the very essence of human life, such as our DNA, in a way that is contrary to God’s design for humanity. Every Christian has the right and duty to protect their divinely created blueprint of life and in doing so, to follow their individual conviction and discernment.
- Respect for the Body as a Temple: The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, made in the image of God, and must be treated with utmost respect. Many modern medicines and vaccines violate this sacred principle by introducing profane foreign substances into the body or altering the fundamental building blocks of the body and immune system, akin to defiling a consecrated church.
- Trust in God’s Providence: Excessive reliance on pharmaceutical products can rise to a form or idolatry that represent a lack of faith in God’s providential care. By seeking medical intervention instead of, or above, relying on prayer and divine healing, we may undermine the fundamental Christian tenet that God is in control of our lives, health, and the natural order of creation.
- Natural Law: The church teaches that we should follow the natural law established by God. Many modern medical products represent unnatural interventions that distort the body’s natural processes and manipulate the natural processes of life and reproduction, and thus conflict with God’s design and intentions for His creation.
- Moral Implications: Many modern medical products lead Christians to moral dilemmas, such as the use of biological products from questionable sources, which might involve sin or morally objectionable practices, such as use of embryonic stem cells or abortion-derived products or processes that involve the destruction of human life. As faithful Christians, we must avoid situations that may compromise our spiritual purity or condone practices that are morally objectionable.
- The Example of the Saints: Many Christian saints have borne witness to the power of God’s healing in the face of illness or injury, without resorting to medical interventions. As far as we are able and willing to do, we should emulate their faith and holiness in our own lives, trusting that God will provide for our needs.
- The Value of Suffering: As Christians, we believe that suffering can be redemptive and purifying. By accepting our crosses and uniting them with Christ’s sacrifice, we can grow in holiness and merit graces for ourselves and others. Many modern medical products can deprive us of the opportunity to offer up our sufferings for the greater good.
- Upholding Christian Tradition: Every Christian has the duty to discern whether to accept products that are the result of medical development that did not exist throughout most of Christian history. By rejecting them, we adhere to the traditional practices of our ancestors in the faith, preserving the tradition and purity of our Christian heritage.
- Promoting Spiritual Warfare: The fight against the evils of this world requires spiritual weapons, not worldly ones. Through our God-given right to refuse use of modern medical products, we can demonstrate our commitment to waging spiritual warfare against the forces of darkness, relying solely on the power of prayer and the grace of God.
The Holy Temple mission does not believe natural, herbal, and other nutritional medical treatments inherently violate its tenets, although we do believe Christians have a right to refuse any type of medical treatment for spiritual reasons, regardless of type.
Membership
The Holy Temple offers different membership tiers to support our mission and provide valuable resources to our members. By joining the community, you become part of a powerful movement advocating for medical freedom and religious rights.
Membership also allows members to demonstrate their dedication to their religious beliefs, which may be of use when faced with medical oppression or other coercion. The Holy Temple offers members the opportunity to obtain a letter confirming their membership, which may aid members in attaining concessions or exemptions, which often require the establishing of a “sincere belief that is religious in nature” regarding certain medical treatments or pharmaceuticals.
Choose the membership level that best suits your needs or desire to support our mission.
God bless you.
